Breaking Barriers in Brain-Computer Interface Technology
As brain science and brain-computer interfaces (BCI) emerge as global
priorities for future technological advancement, the KS1092 addresses a
critical gap in China’s domestic capabilities. EEG signals, typically ranging
from a few microvolts to hundreds of microvolts, are highly susceptible to
interference from physiological and environmental noise. Until now,
high-precision integrated EEG acquisition chips, such as Texas Instruments’
ADS1299 series, have dominated the market. The KS1092 challenges this monopoly
with its advanced performance and full independent intellectual property
rights, marking a milestone in China’s semiconductor innovation.
Core Technical Specifications
The KS1092 integrates a low-noise amplifier, filters, an internal reference, a
high-precision low-dropout linear regulator (LDO), and a bias circuit. Key
features include:
· Ultra-Low Noise: Equivalent input noise as low as 1µV and common-mode noise rejection ratio (CMRR) of ~100dB.
· Flexible Gain Configuration: Programmable amplification from 360× to 2720× via SPI interface.
· Low Power Consumption: Dual-channel dynamic power consumption of 200µA and wide input voltage range (1.8V–3.6V).
· Compact Design: 3mm × 3mm QFN-20 package with ±4kV HBM ESD protection.
· Dry Electrode Support: High input impedance enables reliable signal acquisition using metal dry electrodes, reducing reliance on conductive gels.
Applications and Market Impact
The chip’s high precision, low power, and compact form factor make it ideal for
next-generation wearable EEG devices, including:
· Medical Diagnostics: Brain disease monitoring, sleep analysis.
· Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI): Mind-controlled devices, human-machine interaction.
· Consumer Tech: Attention training systems, neurofeedback toys, VR/AR applications.
A Testament to Domestic Innovation
The KS1092 represents years of R&D dedication in weak-signal sensing
technologies. Following successful pilot trials, mass production is now
underway, with shipments commencing for industry clients.
